Other Redevelopment Projects: <br />MFRA was also involved in the following redevelopment projects: <br />Arbor Lakes, Maple Grove, MN <br />Excelsior & Grand, St Louis Park, MN <br />Red Rock Territory, Woodbury, MN <br />Tamarack Hills, Woodbury, MN <br />ZONING CODE UPDATE PROJECTS <br />SECTION 5: PLANNING PROJECTS <br />City of Monticello Zoning Code <br />MFRA led an 18 month effort to fully revise and rewrite the City of Monticello's <br />zoning ordinance which included multiple avenues for public input including: <br />A Kick -Off Open House Meeting <br />REAR LOT LINE <br />Twelve (12+) Steering Committee Meetings - — — — —- — —�— — ........ <br />i SIDE <br />IEDC Meetings (4 meetings/2 agenda items) ; REAR YARD SNE <br />Chamber of Commerce Meetings (2) <br />i <br />Usage of an Email Distribution List I SIDE SIDES <br />IDE i <br />One-on-one meetings with residents ; YARD YARD <br />SIDELOT II <br />Direct email responses to those with questions I. INE ;- - - _J -- -- - J ----; <br />BUILDING I <br />Newsletter & Website Updates FRONTYARD LINES <br />Concluding Comments Open House <br />FRONT LOT LINE <br />and a Joint Planning/Council workshop <br />The end result of the process was a new code that encapsulated the commu- <br />nity's vision outlined in their comprehensive plan, addressed old code deficien- <br />cies and inaccuracies, and is easy to read and user friendly thanks to the use of <br />graphics, tables, and other communication tools. Additionally, the final document <br />was formatted in a web -friendly manner so as to allow for easy use on the <br />City's website. We strongly encourage you to view the final results on the City's <br />website (www.ci.monticello.mn.us). <br />City of New Ulm Zoning Code <br />MFRA completed a similar zoning code update project for the City of New Ulm <br />but utilizing a different process. In this effort MFRA was simply asked to draft a <br />new draft ordinance that the City would then use/rework utilizing in-house staff. <br />Local work on this project is still on-going as of the writing of this proposal, so <br />final results cannot yet be viewed. <br />N1 <br />
