3. Insurance Requirements. Contractor agrees that in order to protect itself as well <br />as the City, it will at all times during the term of this contract keep in force the following <br />insurance protection in the limits specified. <br /> <br /> a. Vehicle coverage for each vehicle used to supply the snowplowing services. The <br /> minimum coverage shall be a combined single bodily injury and property damage <br /> limit of no less than $600,000.00. <br /> <br /> b. Workers' compensation coverage (statutory minimum). <br /> <br />Any policy obtained under this clause shall provide that it shall not be cancelled, materially <br />changed, or not renewed without 30 days prior notice thereof to the City. <br /> <br /> Prior to the effective date of this contract, and as a condition precedent to this contract, <br />the Contractor will furnish the City with certificates of insurance listing the City as a certificate <br />holder. <br /> <br /> 4. Services Provided. <br /> <br /> a. The Contractor agrees to snowplow those public street cul-de-sacs listed <br /> on the attached Schedule "A" ("Contractor's Route") but only upon being <br /> directed by the City to proceed. <br /> b. The Contractor's Route shall be completed within a minimum of twelve <br /> hours of the start time directed by the City for each snowfall event. <br /> c. The paved portion of each cul-de-sac shall be completely plowed. <br /> <br /> 5. Rate of Pay~ ~ <br /> <br /> a. Contractor will be paid at the rate of $50.00 per hour for the actual <br /> snowplowing services provided. Contractor's hourly rate of pay shall <br /> include both the vehicle driver and the necessary vehicle and related <br /> equipment. <br /> <br /> b. The above rate of pay will be cut to $40.00 per hour for the entire snowfall <br /> event if the Contractor's Route is not completed in the 12-hour period. <br /> This penalty can be waived by the City due to unusual circumstances such <br /> as heavy snowfall, ice, and other circumstances beyond the control of the <br /> Contractor. <br /> <br /> c.
