Norman, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Community Development Director Sherman submitted her resignation effective October 22, <br />1999. The City Council has indicated an interest in possible reorganization of the department <br />and would like to discuss the position before advertising and recruitment to fill the position. <br /> <br />Sylvia Frolik has been with the City of Ramsey since July 1981 and has served within the <br />Community Development Department since 1986. After conferring with Sylvia Frolik and City <br />Councilmembers, I would recommend that Sylvia Frolik be appointed as Interim Community <br />Development Director, effective October 27, 1999, for a three-month period. <br /> <br />In recognition of the added responsibilities and length of time Sylvia will be required to perform <br />the duties, I would recommend the compensation of Frolik be a negotiated salary between her <br />current position and the Community Development Director salary. <br /> <br />Committee Action: <br /> <br />/ <br />Motion to recommend that City Council appoint Sylvia Frolik as Interim Community <br />Development Director, for a three-month period effective October 27, 1999, with compensation <br />as negotiated.
