I <br />i <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />'1 <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> ! <br />I <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />RAMSEY POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />MONTHLY REPORT <br />SEPTEMBER 1999 <br /> <br />DEPARTMENT HIGHLIGHTS <br /> <br />The department responded to 684 Calls For Service compared to in 854 September of 1998. <br /> <br />DARE/COMMUNITY POLICING <br /> <br /> PUBLIC SAFETY AIDE UNIT ACTIVITY <br /> <br />The Ramsey Police Department Public Safety Aide Unit consists of I 1 members from the community. Our Unit's <br />Vision is to create a secure, aware and involved community by uniting law enforcement and residents. Our mission <br />is to provide a variety of support services to the community and the police department in a non-sworn capacity. The <br />unit is divided into (2) divisions, the uniformed Public Safety Aides (Police Reserves) and the newly formed <br />Community Outreach Team. <br /> <br />In September 1999, a total of 174 hfs were donated by Public Safety Aides members in the following areas: <br />MEETINGS / TRAINING: <br /> <br />Total Time Commitment: 30 hfs <br />Explanation: <br />We had one meeting this month and that consisted of planning for the 25th Anniversary Celebration. <br /> <br />Todd Brotkowski and Chandra Kreyer completed 16 hours of training to be re-certified as First Responders. <br />GENERAL DUTY: <br /> <br />Total Time Commitment: 15 hfs <br />Explanation: <br /> <br />(2) PSA's volunteered 15 hours for general patrol duties, assisting officers with (3) calls. <br /> <br />SPECIAL EVENTS / DUTIES: <br /> <br />Total Time Commitment: 108.5 hfs <br />Explanation: <br /> <br />This was a busy month for the PSA's due to the 25m Anniversary Celebration. The (11) members donated a total of <br />108 hours on 09/18/99 during the day's events. <br /> <br />RIDE-ALONGS: <br /> <br />Total Time Commitment: 0 hfs <br />Explanation: <br /> <br />There were no police officer ride-alongs this month. <br /> <br />YOUTH ACTIVITIES: <br /> <br />Total Time Commitment: 17 hfs <br /> <br /> <br />
