Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #99-11- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING <br />ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #99-63 <br />(CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY SEWER AND WATERMAIN ALONG SUNFISH <br />LAKE BOULEVARD) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to a motion passed by the Ramsey City Council on <br />October 12, 1999, the City Engineer has prepared plans and specifications for the construction of <br />sanitary sewer and watermain along Sunfish Lake Boulevard and has presented such documents <br />to the Council for approval. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part <br /> hereof, are hereby approved. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the City of Ramsey's <br />official newspaper and in the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the <br />making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The <br />advertisement shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state <br />that bids will be received by the City Administrator until 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, <br />December 8, 1999, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center by the City Engineer and the City Clerk (or their <br />representatives), will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council <br />at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 1999 in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose <br />responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to <br />address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed <br />and filed with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, <br />bid bond or certified check payable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount <br />of such bid. <br /> <br />Tile motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the folloxving abstained: <br /> <br />and tile following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 9th day of November, 1999. <br /> <br /> <br />
