Voting No: None. <br />Absent: None. <br /> <br />Case #8: Carnival Regulations <br /> <br />Administrative Services Manager Pruitt Hottinger stated that a first reading of the ordinance was <br />approved by City Council on September 14, 1999. No changes have been made to the ordinance <br />since the first reading. <br /> <br />No action was required by the Committee. <br /> <br />Case #9: Resolution - Establishing Carnival Fees <br /> <br />Administrative Services Manager Pruitt Hottinger stated that this case directly relates to the <br />carnival ordinance by establishing license and site clean up fees. Staff proposed a $100.00/day <br />license f~e to cover municipal expenses including zoning administrator, fire, and police staff <br />review of the application. A $100.00 non-refundable application fee is proposed to defray <br />expenses related to background checks, and staff time processing the application. Additionally, <br />the site clean up deposit reflects a charge of $500.00 for the first acre, or portion thereof, and <br />$100.00 for each additional acre or portion thereof. It is anticipated that this charge would cover <br />most municipal expenses in the event a site was not cleaned to acceptable standards. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec, seconded by Councilmember Anderson, to recommend that the City <br />Council adopt the resolution Establishing Carnival License Fees. <br /> <br />Motior., carried. Voting No: None. <br />Absent: None. <br /> <br />Case ill0: Discussion Item: Development of Hiring Procedures <br /> <br />Administrative Services Manger Pruitt Hottinger stated that City Council requested that the <br />Personnel Committee develop a specific hiring procedures to be followed during recruitment for <br />municipal positions.
