Absent: Mr. Hardin, Ms. Scheiber and Councilmember <br /> <br />Case #5 <br /> <br />Ramsey City Staff Updates Memorandum <br /> <br />The EDA discussed the Business Appreciation Day bid from The Links at Northfork. The EDA <br />directed City staff to get bids from JR's for catering if held at Northfork, bids from Rum River <br />Hills and McDuff's as an alternate site, and to possibly change the date of the event if it conflicts <br />with another popular local golf tournament. <br /> <br />Case # 6 Business Survey <br /> <br />Councilmember Haas Steffen suggested the City consider surveying local businesses for their <br />needs in order to demonstrate to other organizations outside the community that there isa real <br />demand for things such as mass transportation, lifecycle housing, and 24 day care in Ramsey. <br />She also suggested City staff contact Community Resources Partnership for technical assistance <br />with the survey, as they are a spin off#f the North Metro Mayors Association and may akeady <br />be familiar with the area. <br /> <br />The EDA directed City staff to follow up and include this item on the next regular meeting <br />agenda. <br /> <br />Case 07 <br /> <br />City of Ramsey 25th Anniversary Celebration and City Brochure <br /> <br />Councilmember Haas Steffen suggested the City consider preparing a marketing brochure <br />highlighting City parks, trails, businesses, schools, services, etc. to use as advertising for <br />prospective residents and businesses. <br /> <br />The EDA directed City staff to research examples from other cities and include samples in the <br />next agenda. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion to adjourn by Mr. Wagner and Mr. Riley. <br /> <br />Motion carded.
