7) Approve Budget Amendment for the Purchase of Large, Previously <br /> Unbudgeted Capital Items <br /> <br />The list of unbudgeted capital items are as follows: Computer upgrade for year 2000 <br />compatibility, hardware and software, depreciation on hardware and sof~ware, Anoka <br />County Police Records soft-ware, depreciation on Police software, chassis water truck, <br />one-ton truck, grader - net of trade-in of $12,500, and depreciation on trucks and grader. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to <br />adopt Resolution #98-11-291 approving budget amendment for the transfer of funds for <br />unbudgeted capital items. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen, Beahen, <br />Beyer and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />8) Space Needs Assessment Study <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and 'seconded by Councilmember Beahen to authorize <br />entering into an agreement with BKPR & Association to perform a space needs <br />assessment study of the City Hall facility and to adopt Resolution #98-I 1-292 authorizing <br />transfer of $10,500 from the Contingency Fund to fund a space needs assessment study <br />for City Hall. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beyer, Beahen and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: Councilmember Haas Steffen. <br /> <br />Case #15: City Council Meeting Schedule for December <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman requested that Council reschedule their second meeting in <br />December so it is not held during the week of Christmas. It has been determined, <br />however, that there is definitely a need for the second meeting. Staff is also requesting <br />that Council designate a Councilmember to come in to City Hall on the afternoon or <br />evening of December 29, 1998, to review the bills so they can be paid prior to year end. <br />This has been the past practice. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to reschedule <br />the second meeting in December to Tuesday, December 15, 1998, at 7:00 p.m., and to <br />direct staff to post such notice at City Hall. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beahen, Beyer, Haas <br />Steffen and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beahen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to designate <br />Councilmember Beyer to come into City Hall on December 29, 1998, to review all <br />approved bills for payment prior to year-end. <br /> <br />City Council/November 24, 1998 <br /> Page I7 of 20 <br /> <br /> <br />
