before May so canvasing of community businesses and the PTA can be undertaken before school
adjourns. Commissioner Droegemueller offered to approach the school and PTA with this request.

Chairperson Cook suggested a representative of the PTA be invited to the May meeting.

Mr. Boos noted the Environmental Expo will provide another opportunity to solicit for volunteers.
The Commission agreed and asked that this project be showcased at the Expo.

Ivlr. Boos reviewed the proposal for a feasibility analysis for the community center. He advised that
Andover, Anoka, Ramsey and the School District are looking at the feasibility of joint construction
and operation of a community center. He reported that on Tuesday, the Council approved spending
up to $5,000 for the feasibility study to address the community center in general and how it would
be managed with a multi-jurisdictional aspect.

Commissioner LaMere explained the community center is a joint study but that in no way is to
indicate which way the City is leaning (single entity or tri-city approach). He stated the information
from this study could still be used by Rarnsey if they determined to undertake a project by themselves.

ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Commissioner Ostrum and seconded by Commissioner Asfahl to adjourn the meeting to
a work session on Expo planning.

Motion carried.
