Trails & Pathways <br /> <br />* Mowing of trail system will be done less frequently than turf'areas. Growth heights <br /> will also be kept higher. <br /> <br />, Grass and vegetation will be maintained at a four to six inch height, where possible. <br /> <br />* Grass and vegetation will be maintained four to six feet from the trail's edge where <br /> possible. <br /> <br />- Efforts wilt be made to maintain grass trails at the same degree as ail other turf areas <br /> throuhout the City. <br /> <br />· Discharge chute shall be directed away from the trail's surface. <br /> <br />o Significantly lower speeds will be used while mowing trail sides. PTO should still be <br /> set high. <br /> <br /> Tree branches shall be cut at a minimum height of eight feet on all trails. Multiuse <br /> trails will be cut at a height often feet. <br /> <br /> Branches shall be trimmed back three feet from edge of trail, where possible. <br /> <br />· Deadfalls and Widowmakers should be taken care of before they become a problem to <br /> trail use. <br /> <br />,, Shrubs and trees should not.be plante~ closer than six feet from edge of trail. <br /> <br /> Sweeping black-top trails will be done in spring and fall, as well as when conditions <br /> call for it: washouts, broken glass, storm damage etc,. <br /> <br />· Gravel and woodchip trails will be graded as needed. <br /> <br />· Pesticides will be applied to gravel and woodchip trails in late spring or early <br /> summer, depending on weed growth. <br /> <br /> Noxious weeds on all trails, will be controlled four to six feet from the trails edge, <br /> where possible. <br /> <br />* Ail gates, fences, bridges and vehicle deterrents shall be kept in a safe working order. <br /> <br />* All signs shall be kept clear of all obstructions, in a reasonable sight line, <br /> <br /> <br />
