2) Accept Refuse/Recycling Hauler/Award Quote for Municipal Site Service <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Anderson to accept <br />trash hauling and recycling service quotes and approve a one-year contract with Waste <br />Management for refuse and recycling service for municipal sites, beginning on August 1, 1999. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Connolly questioned if the City currently recycles in the <br />parks. Director of Public Works Kapler explained that they recycle at City Hall but not at the <br />parks. Councilmember Co/molly suggested allowing a group to recycle at the parks. Mayor <br />Gamec suggested having Councilmember Connolly discuss it with RYAA. Councilmember <br />Connolly suggested sending out letters for all non-profit organizations giving them the <br />opportunity to be involved with recycling. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Zimmerrnan, Anderson, <br />Connolly, and Hendriksen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />3) Carnival Regulations <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee provided direction to staff. <br /> <br />4) Ramsey Facility Usage Rental Policy <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee provided direction to staff. <br /> <br />5) Council Representation to Various Boards and Commissions <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen and seconded by Coun¢ilmember Cormolly to adopt <br />Resolution #99-07-137 for 1999 Council organization. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilrnembers Hendriksen, Co/molly, Anderson, <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />6) Accept Resignation - Paid On-Call Firefighter <br /> <br />Administrative Services Manager Pruitt Hottinger stated that Wade Geving resigned as a paid, <br />on-call fire fighter effective July 21, 1999. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hendriksen and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to <br />approve the resignation of paid, on-call Fire fighter Wade Geving. <br /> <br />City Council/July 27, 1999 <br /> Page 10 of 13 <br /> <br /> <br />
