Consider your overall goal; if it is a <br />lofty one, you will want to be sure to go <br />for a couple of big money-makers rather <br />than several smaller events. <br /> Generally, good PR, planning and enthu- <br />siasm will push any fund raiser over the <br />top, but there are no guarantees. Remem- <br />ber not to get discouraged if one of your <br />events falls short. Stay positive and move <br />on to the next idea. <br /> The recipe cards that follow offer sug- <br />gestions for fund-raising activities you can <br />organize. Sell a.s.many dinner tickets in advmme as possible. <br /> Meals can vary from a casual spaghetti feed to an <br /> defiant affair; pick the style that will appeal to the <br /> majority of potential attendees. <br />3. Ask a sports figure or other popular local celebrity <br /> attend and sell autographs. Get the word out about, <br /> this and other unique auction items. <br />4.
