Ramsy Fire <br /> <br />CHASSIS SPECIFICATIONS <br /> <br />Two (2) Monroe #70150 double acting 2 3/4" diameter shock absorbers shall be installed for the <br />front axle. <br /> <br />Steerin~ column & wheel, tilt telescopic type <br />STEERING COLUMN AND WHEEL <br /> <br />The steering column shall be a tilt and telescopic type with a 18" steering wheel. The steering <br />wheel shall be covered with black absorbite padding. <br /> <br />The steering column shall contain a horn button, self-canceling turn signal switch, four-way <br />hazard switch and head lamp dimmer switch on turn lever. <br /> <br />REAR AXLE <br />24,000 lb. Meritor (Rockwell) rear axle / Adv <br /> <br />The rear axle shall be a Meritor (formally Rockwell) model #RS-24-160 with single reduction <br />gearing and shall have a rated capacity of 24,000 lbs. GAWR. <br /> <br />Top speed: 70 MPH, Single rear axle <br /> <br />The top speed of the vehicle shall be approximately 70 mph at governed engine rpm. <br /> <br />REAR BRAKES <br /> <br />Rear brakes shall be 16 1/2" x 7 .... S" cam type with automatic slack adjusters. <br /> <br />WABCO ABS Brakes, Front & Single Rear <br />ABS BRAKES <br /> <br />A Rockwell "WABCO" anti-lock braking system shall be installed on the front and rear <br />Rockwell axles for safer vehicle control during braking and reduced stopping distance in all skid <br />applications or equivilent. <br /> <br />System design shall incorporate a dual redundant diagonal circuit electronically controlled <br />through a sensor and tone ring on each wheel. <br /> <br />A dash mounted anti-lock lamp shall be provided to notify the driver of a system malfunction. <br /> <br />A momentary test switch shall be installed to test the system for diagnostic codes. <br /> <br />Page 5 of 19 <br /> <br /> <br />
