CASE <br /> <br />AMENDMENTS TO THE SITE PLAN REVIEW SECTION OF CITY CODE; <br />CASE OF CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> By: Community Development Assistant Sean Walther <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />On September 1, 1998, the Planning Commission directed staff to review the Site Plan <br />Review section of City Code. Staff reviewed the current code, the recommendations of <br />the Chapter 9 Review Subcommittee, and the additional submittal requirement of color <br />renderings and/or colored material samples of the building exterior. <br /> <br />After reviewing a draft of the proposed revisions on December 3, 1998, the Planning <br />Commission suggested additional modifications. Staff made the suggested <br />modifications. In addition, staff decided to move all of the performance standards found <br />in Section 9.03.06 (Site Plan Review), Subdivision 4 (Standards) to the more appropriate <br />location in Section 9.11.20 (Non-residential Performance Standards). Therefore, the <br />Planning Commission will be considering adoption of an ordinance to amend Sections <br />9.03.06 and 9.11.20 of Ramsey City Code. <br /> <br />Enclosed for your review: <br /> <br />1) <br />2) <br />3) <br /> <br />copy of the proposed ordinance <br />copy of Section 9.03.06 showing the proposed revisions* <br />copy of Section 9.11.20 showing the proposed revisions* <br /> <br />* Bold-face text notes additions, strike-through text notes deletions, and italic prim set <br />off in parentheses denotes the location text has moved to or from but will not be included <br />in the text of the final ordinance. <br /> <br />Notification: <br /> <br />In accordance with State Statute, the City of Ramsey advertised the public hearing for the <br />proposed ordinance. <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />The proposed ordinance includes several language revisions to clarify requirements and <br />to change any language that specifically references information that changes occasionally <br />by administrative decision or City Council resolution. <br /> <br />The proposed ordinance adds new submittal requirements for site plan review <br />applications which include providing building elevations, color renderings, locations of <br /> <br /> <br />
