CASE # tO <br />SUMMARY OF COMPREHENSIV~ PLAN PUBLIC HEARING COMMENTS <br /> By: Cindy Sherman, Community Development Director <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The City has been working on the development of an updated Comprehensive Plan since August <br />of 1997. The public hearing for public review and comment on the document was held on <br />December 1, 1998 and continued to December 3, 1998. <br /> <br />Observations: <br />We have attached a summary of all of the comments that were submitted on or before December <br />28, 1998. The original comment forms will be retained at City Hall. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />No specific action is required at this time. Revised drafts of the Comprehensive Plan are being <br />distributed and a workshop with the City Council and the Planning Commission will be <br />scheduled in January. We have requested an extension to March 31, 1999 for the submittal to the <br />Metropolitan Council. This will give us some additional time to review the document and <br />finalize it for submittal.
