Amendment by Chairperson Anderson to table this motion until a landscape plan is received by a <br />professional landscaper. There was no second to the amendment. <br /> <br />Further discussion continued: Commissioner Nixt stated that if the approval is delayed, the work <br />is delayed and it needs to be completed soon. <br /> <br />Chairperson Anderson stated that he objects to the motion on the floor because it is a particular <br />burden on the property owners to rush and get the landscaping completed by October 1st and feels <br />that a special session could be called if needed. <br /> <br />Commissioner Dempsey suggested changing # 3 to read "City Staff will set a completion date <br />upon receipt of an acceptable landscape plan." <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Commissioners Johnson, Dempsey, Jensen, Kociscak, Nixt, and <br />Wivoda. Voting No: Chairperson Anderson. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Nixt, to recommend that City <br />Council approve Mr. Terry Luke's request for an environmental permit for landscape alterations <br />in the Mississippi Critical and Wild and Scenic River Overlay Districts. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Commissioners Johnson, Nixt, Dempsey, Jensen, Kociscak, and <br />Wivoda. Voting No: Chairperson Anderson. <br /> <br />Case #5: <br /> <br />Review Proposed Ordinance to Amend Site Plan Review Section of City Code <br /> <br />Chairperson Anderson closed the regular portion of the Planning Commission meeting at 9:30 <br />p.m. in order to conduct the public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Chairman Anderson called the public hearing to order at 9:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Community Development Director Sherman stated that on September 1, 1998, the Planning <br />Commission directed Staff to review the Site Plan Review section of City Code. Staff reviewed <br />the cmx'ent code, the recommendations of the Chapter 9 Review Subcommittee, and the <br />suggested additional submittal requirement of color renderings and/or colored material samples <br />of the building exterior. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Sherman explained that after reviewing a draft of the <br />proposed revisions on December 3, 1998, the Planning Commission suggested additional <br />modifications.
