CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a special meeting on Tuesday, September 21, <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Councilmember Susan E. Anderson <br />Councilmember Margaret Connolly <br />Councilmember Terry Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br /> <br />DRAFT <br /> <br />1999, at the <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman called the special meeting of the City Council to order at 6:35 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />There was none. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Adopt Ordinance to Vacate Drainage and Utility Easement in Northfork <br />Oaks 2na Addition; Case of Rick and Barbara Burnham <br /> <br />City Administrator stated that Rick and Barbara Burnham are in the process of building a new <br />home in Northfork Oaks 2"d Addition. They own lots 1 and 2 of Block 1 and desire to center <br />their home on the property. In doing so, the structure will extend over the common property line <br />between the two lots. On September 14, 1999, the City Council introduced an ordinance to <br />vacate the drainage and utility easement. The Council was friendly and sympathetic to the <br />Burnham's situation in regards to getting their home started as soon as possible. Mr. Norman <br />explained that he talked to the City Attorney and made him aware that he was recommending <br />that the Council allow a building permit be issued prior to the expiration of the 30-day required <br />publication date if the applicants agree to a hold harmless agreement assuming all responsibility. <br /> <br />City Council/September 21, 1999 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
