City Attorney Goodrich replied that he would need to discuss with Councilmember Zimmennan <br />further what he would like included in the policy. He noted that the policy could be amended <br />with a public hearing. <br /> <br />Councilmember Connolly stated that she would like "living wage" included. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich explained that historically the City has required a minimum of $I0.00 <br />per hour exclusive of benefits. <br /> <br />Councilmember Connolly stated that she would like a clarification of wages. <br /> <br />Mr. Mulrooney explained that the policy would depend on the type of industry. If the City gets <br />into issues of "living wages" it might cause more difficulties. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Anderson, seconded by Councilmember Connolly, to adopt the <br />Business Subsidy Policy. <br /> <br />Motion can'ied. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />In-Tech Development Business Subsidy Agreement Ratification <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:35 p.m. in order to <br />conduct a public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the public hearing to order at 7:35. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that the City Council entered into a certain agreement with In- <br />Tech Development on May 11, 1999. The Council action was contingent upon final review by <br />the City Attorney. Many changes took place over the summer months during the completion of <br />the development business subsidy agreement. The Council is asked to ratify the final details of <br />the agreement prior to its execution. In-Tech Development is a company which currently <br />operates in Maple Grove, employs approximately twenty-five employees, and is anticipating <br />hiring more with the expansion in Ramsey's Energy Park. The facility will be 31,700 square <br />feet, with an estimated market value of $1,100,100. It is anticipated that the project will generate <br />approximately $25,000 in net-increment per year towards the TIF District, which will be used to <br />pay for the $94,817.00 purchase of land from Connexus Energy.
