h. Lighting. <br /> <br />Lighting used to illuminate an off-street parking area, sign or <br />structure, shall be arranged to deflect light away from adjacent <br />residential districts or public streets. Bulbs emitting in excess of <br />3000 lumens (150 watts) shall be directed so that the bulb is not <br />visible from off the property where the light source is located. <br /> <br /> Architectural Standards <br /> <br />1. The type of building materials used on exterior walls on all <br />structures in the R-2 Residential District shall be face brick, natural stone, <br /> <br />stucco, aluminum, steel, or vinyl siding, wood. masonite products, or other <br />compatible residential materials that may be approved by the City. The <br />exterior building finish of multiple-family buildings shall consist of a <br />minimum of 50% face brick, natural stone, or stucco. Exterior Insulation <br /> <br />and Finish Systems (EIFS) material is prohibited. <br /> <br />Garages 'shall not be located on the fi'ont elevation of multiple- <br /> <br />family buildin.gs that face public streets. <br /> <br />A community gathering space for multiple-family units shall be <br />identified on the site plan and described (How should such a space <br />be defined??) <br /> <br />No two multiple-family buildings (adjacent or across the street <br />fi'om one another) shall be the same color or same style, unless <br />otherwise approved by the City Council. <br /> <br />Landscaping, exterior finishes, and other details should be used to <br />differentiate between individual units and between multiple-family <br /> <br />buildings. <br /> <br />The height and scale of multiple-family buildings shall be <br />compatible within the site and in relation to adiacent <br /> <br />neighborhoods, when applicable (How could this be better <br />defined??) <br /> <br /> <br />
