These <br />goals of service include 24-hour temporary emergency residential shelter support services, intervention services and <br />community advocacy programs. In addition, we provide information, referral, community education and training to <br />over 13,000 people through our crisis line, in area schools and for the community at large. Please see the attached <br />chart, Alexandra House Program Services for a detailed list of our services. <br /> <br />Program <br />Alexandra House, Inc. is a non-profit, tax exempt, domestic violence service provider for women and families in <br />Anoka County and surrounding communities. Services are free and include support, advocacy, intervention, <br />professional training and community education provided by staff, interns and volunteers. In addition to a 24 hour <br />emergency shelter, Alexandra House has offices in the Anoka County Human Services building, the Anoka County <br />Courthouse and at Unity and Mercy Hospitals. <br /> <br />Amount of CDBG Funds Requested $2,500 <br /> <br />Specific Project Description: <br /> <br />The requested funds will specifically be used to pay the cost of stay for women and families <br />from the City of Rarnsey who are not able to receive T. A. N. F. (Temporary Assistance to <br />Needy Families) or general assistance payments. Their financial status makes us ineligible to <br />receive state General Assistance Per Diems for their stay. In 1998, this cost, per person, per day <br />is $98.06. Please see Alexandra House Program Services chart, i~esidential Programs for a list <br />of Alexandra residential services available to Ramsey women and families.
