IV. <br /> <br />If the project is more than one year, detail the <br />project activities by year. <br /> <br />Project activities are ongoing based on the needs of people <br />using the service. <br /> <br />Briefly describe the community problems that the <br />activity address. <br /> <br />Individuals with developmental disabilities and their <br />families often experience stress and isolation because they <br />are forced to deal with many complex systems involving <br />medical, educational, social services, and financial issues <br />associated with having a child with a disability at the same <br />time dealing with emotional aspect. Families turn to Arc for <br />information, opportunities to network and gain support from <br />other families, sibling support resources and individual <br />assistance. The need for support and information is life- <br />long process. As children grow the needs, services and <br />systems change. Arc remains an important resource to help <br />families through these transitions. Adults with <br />developmental disabilities are often subject to <br />discrimination because of their disabilities. Through <br />individual advocacy and self advocacy groups they receive <br />assistance to be active participants in their community. <br />Communities benefit from having a diverse population. <br /> <br />VI. Source and amount of other Revenue <br /> <br />$569,052.00 <br />$ 1,500 <br /> <br />Total agency budget for services $569,052.00. Arc will <br />provide additional funds through grants, United Way and <br />fundraising. Please see attached budget. <br /> <br />VII. Detail the cost of each activity <br /> <br />Based upon historical data $1500 will help support the costs <br />for individual advocacy and the Toy and Adaptive Equipment <br />Lending Library. <br /> <br />VIII.
