CASE#q <br /> <br />AUTHORIZE HIRING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT <br /> Linda Waite Smith, Administrative Services Manager <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />In September the City Council approved the job description for a new position in <br />Community Development to assist the City Engineer and Zoning Administrator. This is <br />an entry level position requiring a bachelor's degree. <br /> <br />The position was advertised and we received 11 applications. Eight of the applicants <br />were interviewed by a panel composed of the City Engineer, Zoning Administrator and <br />Administrative Services Manager.
