I I I I I MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT #1: Levy Limits Motion by Mayor Gamec and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to compose a resolution to send to the State Representative and State Senator regarding the City's opposition to the levy limit using specific impacts on the City. Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Beyer, Beahen, Haas Steffen and Zimmerman. #2: Ramsey Elementary Third Graders Mayor Gamec announced that, thus far, about 60 third grade studeats (two classes) from Ramsey Elementary School have visited City Hall and there will be about five to seven more classes visiting next week. He noted their enthusiasm and wonderful thank you letters. #3: Speeding Problem Areas Councilmember Haas Steffen suggested that Police Chief Gustafson should bring Council information on the areas of the City where speeding is a big problem. #4: Anoka Vocational Technical Partnership with Businesses Mayor Gamec noted the job partnership between the Anoka Vo Tech and area businesses. He stated that $200,000 had been donated to this program by businesses, a lot of them fi.om Ramsey. He stated he is pleased to see how aggressive the Ramsey businesses are with regard to this program. #5: Ribbon Cutting - The Medicine Shop Finance Officer Hart announced there would be a ribbon cutting ceremony for The Medicine Shop at 9:45 a.m., on Wednesday, December 10. The shop is located in the new Landmark Bank Building next to the old Town Hall on T.H. #47. ADJOURNMENT Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to adjourn the meeting.
