TI{ 47 I.'ftoM 142ND AVB~OE TO I53P,.D AVgNUI~ We are pleased to submit this proposal that is based on your request for Professional Engineering Services for Improvements to TH 47 from 142nd Avenue to north of 153rd Avenue. We have prepared the attached work program m~d schedule for your use. We have taken into account previously completed work associated with the local initiative project and have estimated the :asks and hours necessary to complete the preliminary trod final design, environmental docmnentation and in-construction services for this federally funded project. Tho initial tasks wilt include the completion of a preliminary layout for Mn/DOT staff approval and thc required Environmental Assessment. After completing the required tasks for federal project development, a Finding of No 8ignifiem~t hnpaPt (FONSI) will bo issued. Only after the FONSI is obtained, can the City start negotiating with the property owners for the purchase of right-of-way. The final design would also be completed after the preliminary approvals are received. We l~ave not included any subconsultants in this proposal. Wc believe that Mn/DOT will want to perform the Cultural Resource Survey in-house m~d may also perform the subsurface soils investigation, if Mn/DOT cannot complete either of those tasks, we propose thai the geotcchnical sub¢onsultant contract directly with the City. We will be available to coordinate thc contracting and work of the sub¢ousult,'mts. The last part of thc project will be the construction phase. We have included a separate cost esthnato for thi~ work as you requested. We have performed construction inspection and contract administration on numerous federal projects in the past and would welcome the opportunity to perform this work for the City of gamsey. We have all the necessary certified in~pectors and computerized accounting software in-house. All work must be properly inspected and documented to obtaiu Federal Funding Participation.
