PERSONNEL COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Personnel Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, February 10, 1998, <br />at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Rarnsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Councilmember Natalie Haas Steffen <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Administrative Services Manager Linda Waite Smith <br />Fire Chief/Director of Public Works Dean Kapler <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Councilmember Beyer called the regular meeting of the Personnel Committee to order at 5:39 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Case #2 entitled Authorize Filling Position of Economic Development Coordinator is being <br />pulled from the agenda to be discussed at a later date. <br /> <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda as amended. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Consider Reappointments to City Commissions <br /> <br />Administrative Services Manager Waite Smith noted there are several vacancies on several <br />commissions. Some commissioners are eligible for reappointment and have been given the <br />opportunity to reapply. The reappointment of these commissioners will not put anyone over the <br />term limits; that situation will not happen until the end of this year. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to recommend Council <br />approve the reappointment of Sharon Jensen and Michael Terry to the Planning Commission to a <br />term to expire December 31, 2001, the reappointment of Beth Asfahl, Reid Droegemueller, Steve <br />Ostrum and Michael Rolfe to the Park and Recreation Commission to a term to expire October <br /> <br />Personnel Committee/February 10, 1998 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
