City of RAMSEY <br />Public Works Monthly Meeting for January 1998 <br /> January 28, t998 <br /> <br />Agenda <br /> <br />Meeting times for each month <br /> -Meeting next month will be on February 25, at 7:30am <br /> -Meeting times may be changed if schedules conflict <br /> <br />Training <br /> -Subjects for future training <br /> -AEC Demo Trailer (Both current staff and Part time staff) <br /> -Basic First Aid <br /> -Defensive Ddving (either off site or on) <br /> -Group also discussed creating a part time employee's training checklist to cover <br /> subjects to be covered during the training period <br /> -Mandated training issues <br /> -Confined space, $CBA use <br /> ,Liability Issues? <br /> -Blood Borne Pathogens issues <br />Office plans/expansion <br /> -Group consensus is to expand an additional break area in the shop and use current <br /> break area for fl, york area: This would be in lea ora refurbish of current office area in <br /> modular office furniture. <br /> <br />Safety concerns/updates <br /> -Possibility of first aid kits in trucks <br /> -Drill press base needs repair, also light bulb needs replacement <br /> '-New welding table (swap from fire station for new table to be constructed) <br /> <br />Weekly Staff meetings <br /> -Bring issues from staff meeting to PW group as needed <br /> <br />Looking out (3 months, 6 months, etc.) <br /> -Chainsaws (problems in pest with breaking and not fixing in timely manner) <br /> -Tool inventory, tools being used and not returned to proper place <br /> -Recruitment for summer help (Bill board at city hall) <br /> <br />Maintenance Issues <br /> -What should be done now for the next season <br /> -"Out of Service' area for equipment in need of repair <br /> -tags for equipment to be repaired <br /> -What should be done to snowplowing equip for' next season <br /> -Everything up to date <br /> -PM up to date? <br /> -AEC and supervisors keep track of <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br /> <br />
