Ms. Simpson reported her plans are to blacktop the driveway and eventually build a garage. She
added that when they purchased the home in June 1997, they had the septic inspected at that
time.

Attorney Goodrich analyzed the issues of review as parking, outside storage, septic system
compliance and blacktopping the driveway.

Councilmember Haas Steffen suggested that if everyone else agrees, the review of the septic
system in June should suffice.

Ms. Frolik noted that #7 of the proposed conditional use permit attempts to deal with the septic
system and well issues.

Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to direct staff
to work with the applicant with regard to concerns about parking, outside storage, on-site septic
system compliance, and a blacktop driveway. Work out a reasonable time frame for
blacktopping, review the existing ordinances relating to outside storage and explain in the
findings why this situation is unique. Go forward in the affirmative and place on the March 10,
1998, Council agenda.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Haas Steffen and Beyer. Voting
No: Councilmember Zimmerman. Absent: Councilmember Beahen.

IqO

i
I
I
!,
I
I
I
I
I
i
I
I

I
i
I
i,~
