PEROXIDE STORAGE BUILDING CAA Proj #039-974)1 'Accompanying this sheet please find ( ONE ) additional sheets as follows: 8.5xl 1 drawing sheet A1 Proposed Site Plan dated 02/12/98. This material is revised from that previously submitted to the City of Ramsey, as described below. Since the previous review and approval process the proposed design and scope of construction of this project has been revised. As per our telephone conversations this week I am requesting on behalf of Vision-Ease Lens, Inc. that the City of Ramsey grant approval of the revised design for construction of their proposed detached storage building. In consultation with Vision-Ease's insurance counsel the building is now to be constructed of reinforced masonry walls with a simple single gable wood framed roof. This wall structure will resist the pressure resulting from the force of explosive rapid combustion of the stored organic peroxide should such an event occur, shielding Vision-Ease's existing main building and the two adjacent property lines. Because the storage building's own walls will now provide the required shielding the earth berm is no longer needed, and accordingly it has been deleted. The perimeter security fence remains a part of the project. Attached please find the revised proposed site plan, which I am faxing with this memo for your immediate reference.
