Ramsey, Minn. 55303 Dear Commission Members, Mh· husband, John, and I live in the Alpaca Estates subdivision, which is adjacent to the property that includes the land for the proposed sports bar and grill and outdoor sports complex We have numerous concerns about the project: 1) NOISE -- On summer nights, we are often kept awake late at night by music from outside the. Lighthouse Bar on Highway 10, which is much further from our home than the proposed sports complex. The music is so loud that we can hear it, even with our windows closed. We have called both the Lighthouse Bar and the Ramsey police to complain about the noise, to no avail. Questions -- Is there any ordinance that prohibits such noise after a certain hour? How can we be assured that there will not be loud noise f~om the outdoor sports complex that is disruptive to the sleep of area residents? 2) TRAFFIC -- Highway 10 is already extremely busy. There is no traffic light at the intersection of Highway 10 and Traprock Street. We have concerns about increased traffic accidents. Questions -- Has there been any study of the traffic situation that will be created by this complex? 3) WATER, SEWER -- With a complex that can accommodate up to 250 people in the bar and grill (that is a number we have heard), how will the facility get water and sewer serviceb? Questions -- Does there need to be an environmental impact study done to look into things such as ground water contamination or effects on the Mississippi River? We are not opposed to this project, in principle. But, as homeowners who have an investment in the future of Ramsey, we encourage members of this commission to ask the above questions and receive answers that assure that the project will, indeed, be an asset to the community.
