Our department is recommending that the developer be required to install a vinyl clad chain <br /> link fence along the east and south edges of the property to address this issue (see enclosed <br /> map). <br /> <br /> 3) Visual Screening - Many of the future planned recreational amenities in Mississippi <br /> West Regional Park will be within direct view of the proposed sports facility. For this <br /> reason, we are concerned about the visual and sound impact that the ballfields, sports bar, <br /> and parking will have on the park. As you are aware, Mississippi West Regional Park is <br /> nestled in a beautiful location along the Mississippi River and we want to 15reserve the <br /> serenity and naturalness of the park to the greatest extent possible. <br /> <br /> To this end, we are recommending that efforts be made to provide landscape plantings <br /> along the edge of the proposed sports complex which not only serve to screen the visual and <br /> intrusions into the but also habitat for those birds and <br /> sound <br /> park, <br /> provide <br /> protection <br /> song <br /> other animals which live on the "edge" of the existing forest canopy.
