I have lived in Ramsey for 20 years. The largest
problem we have faced is dogs unrestrained. The City has to come to terms with this
problem. I have been attacked with my wife, 4 times in the least 5 years, while walking the
roadways. We also owned dogs before and have always kept them leashed or fenced. I
suggest Ramsey level a $200 fmc for loose dogs, before someone is seriously injured. This
morning on County Road #56, 2 pit bulls stopped me on the way to Tom Thumb. Running
an article in the resident twice a year is no deterrent, so lets get real!! (No address provided)

· We do not need to make this park attractive to teens. We already have big groups hanging
out and doing damage to property. Any family friendly improvements would be appreciated.

· Extend paved paths from existing all the way around land fill, cutting through Alpine Park,
up by Sunfish Blvd. and back down and over to County Road #116.

· Would be nice to see a paved bike trail near this area.

· A lot of kids in this area are from 2nd grade to 5th & 6th and then quite a few older than 15.

· We live across from Peltzer Park, I am happy about park upgrade. I want to help with
something. The family wants to help, there are 5 of us. (No address provided)

I live on 151st Ave. NW and the small pond in our neighborhood sometimes looks like an
eye sore. This could be a great asset to our neighborhood if something were done to dig the
shallow areas out and get rid of the unsightly cattails, weeds, etc. I would definitely be
willing to pay for this improvement (along with several others), as it will increase the value
of our homes and beautify the neighborhood. (No address provided)

· Although my child is only 3 months old, it would be nice to have a park close by that I could
take him to. As the park is now, I would go somewhere else before going there.

Peltzer park is junk. There is glass in the sand, stuff stuck to the slides, lawn doesn't get
mowed on a regular basis, play structure is old. The park isn't being taken care of. I would
love to have the park cleaned up, because it isn't far from my home and I have small children
that want to play there, but it is a mess. It is not safe.

Right now this park area is subject to graffiti & used as a "teen hang-out", where kids smoke
& cause trouble. Updating it would draw more youngsters to the area and would hopefully
eliminate or decrease the frequency of teen troubles. Right now, I feel uncomfortable
sending my son to the park by himself with the older kids "hanging out" there.

· Would be nice to have a trash can rather than garbage, cans etc. thrown on ground.

· We have enough parks. Have parents have their own play equipment in their backyards.
Save the money for more important usage.

j oannk/markjim/misc/su rveyr¢

PARK SURVEY
