A <br />total of 17 bids were received as shown on the attached tabulation. The bids <br />ranged from $256,534.50 to 8336.309.50. The three Iow bids and the engineer's <br />estimate were as follows: <br /> <br />BIDDER <br />WB Miller, Inc. <br />R.P. Utilities, Inc. <br />Volk Sewer & Water, Inc. <br /> <br />BID AMOUNT <br /> <br />8256,534.50 <br />8262,105.10 <br />$264,148.40 <br /> <br />Engineer's Estimate <br /> <br />8347,025.00 <br /> <br />In comparing the bids to the Engineer's Estimate, the Iow bid is approximately 26 <br />percent below the Engineer's estimate. <br /> <br />WB Miller, Inc. is a local contractor who has satisfactorily completed projects in the <br />metropolitan area.
