Request For Proposal <br />For the Design of a Fire Station for the City of Ramsey <br /> <br />Scope of Work <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey will be constructing a 2nd Fire Station at the northeast corner of Armstrong <br />Blvd. and 161st Ave. The finished size is planned at approximately 8200 sq. ft with areas for <br />apparatus parking, office areas, training area, restrooms/showers for both male and female, utility <br />rooms and a light duty kitchen area. It will also include a second level in part of the building for <br />future space needs. <br /> <br />The project will also include a large capacity well along with appropriate on-site sewage treatment <br />considering the location is in a rural area not supplied by city utilities. Also included will be <br />adequate parking for both responding firefighters and citizens when having community events or <br />voting. <br /> <br />Because of the special needs of a fire station structure, the City of Ramsey will need to contract <br />both for the design work and also actual construction. <br /> <br />Pro_iect Details and Specifications <br /> <br />Provided are the specifications for the site including requirements outside the building. <br /> <br />Scope of Services <br /> <br />Provide your companies perception of the work required including descriptions of the tasks to be <br />done. Also describe how your personnel, equipment and services will be utilized and estimate the <br />time involved in various activities. <br /> <br />Format of Desiqn Proposal <br /> <br />The proposal shall include the following elements: <br /> Statement of qualifications <br /> -Brief history of firms background and expertise in the area or fire station design. <br /> <br />-References of former clients of which fire stations have been built. <br /> <br />Time Schedule <br /> -Include a detailed timeline for activities involved in project. <br /> <br />-Identify any needs from city departments. <br /> <br />Compensation <br /> <br />Compensation will be on a as needed basis at a fiat fee amount negotiated between the city and <br />the design consultant. <br /> <br />Proposal Evaluation alld Award <br /> <br />Proposals will be evaluated by City Staff based on the submitted work plan, qualifications and <br />review of references given. A recommendation to award will be submitted to the City Council at <br />the earliest regular council meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
