ANOKA COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY
1900 THIRD AVENUE SOUTH
ANOKA, MINNESOTA 55303
612-421-0600

7 April 1998

Dean Kapler
City of Ramsey
15153 Nowthen Blvd NW
Rmn'seY, 'i~,~ '5~3'~3

The Foster and Trott Brook Cemeteries in Ramsey were discussed at the April 2, 1998,
Board of Directors meeting for the Anoka County Historical Society. In response to the
conversation held with ACHS Co-Director Viekie Wendel, the Board wishes to support the City
of Ramsey in these efforts.
ACHS supports the removal of brush, overgrown plants, dead trees, storm damaged trees
and debris from the grounds of the cemeteries and repair of the fence.
Continued upkeep of both cemeteries is important and we are pleased the City of Ramsey
is taking on this responsibility.
As discussed, we look forward to working with the City of Ramsey to culminate the
restoration of these cemeteries in a rededication program. ACHS has been concerned with the
maintenance of these cemeteries and we are happy to hear of your plans.

sincerely,

president, ACHS
