PUBLIC HEARING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, March 12, 1998, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Ivfinnesota to hear input <br />regarding a request for a Conditional Use Permit to Establish Accessory Outdoor Recreational Uses <br />to a Restaurant and Bar; Case of diamonds Sports Bar & Grill, Inc. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Benjamin Deemer <br />Commissioner Sharon Jensen <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br />Commissioner Michael Terry <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Chairperson David Bawden <br />Commissioner Joe Wivoda <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Community Development Assistant Sean Walther <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Vice Chairperson Deemer convened the public hearing at 7:35 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated the applicant is proposing to develop a sports bar and restaurant <br />that will include three outdoor softball fields and five volleyball courts for use in the summer and <br />three broomball courts for winter use. The property is properly zoned for eating and drinking <br />establishments. The surrounding parcels to the east and south are part of the Mississippi West <br />Regional Park, the property to the west is also zoned commercial, and the property is bounded on <br />the north by Highway 10. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />In view of the large number of residents in attendance, Vice Chairperson Deemer requested a limit <br />of five minutes per person. <br /> <br />Public Hearing/Planning Commission/March 12, 1998 <br /> Page 1 of 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
