I
I
I Our department is recommending that the developer be required to install a vinyl clad chain
link fence along the east and south edges of the property to address this issue (see enclosed
map).
! ,
3) Visual Screening - Many of the future planned recreational amenities in Mississippi
West Regional Park will be within direct view of the proposed sports facility. For this
I concerned about the visual and sound that the
reason,
we
impact
ballfields,
sports
bar,
and parking will have on the park. As you are aware, Mississippi West Regional Park is
nestled in a beautiful location along the Mississippi River and we want to//reserve the
serenity and naturalness of the park to the greatest extent possible.

I To this end, we are recommending that efforts be made to provide landscape plantings
along the edge of the proposed sports complex which not only serve to screen the visual and
sound intrusions into the park, but also provide habitat protection for those song birds and
I other animals which live on the "edge" of the existing forest canopy. The possible location
of such plantings is also shown on the enclosed map.

I Thank you for the opportunity to provide comments regarding the proposed Diamond Sports Bar and
Grill development.
