Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #98-04- RESOLUTION RECEIVING PETITION AND CALLING FOR A FEASIBILITY STUDY ON IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #98-15 (149TH ,AVENUE ROAD CLOSURE/CUL-DE- SACING) WltEREAS, on April 14, 1998, the City received a petition for a feasibility study to consider the improvement of the installation of a cul-de-sac to be located at the intersection of Uranimite and 149th street (sic) or an alternate location which may be selected during the feasibility study; and the removal and abandonment of unused roadway which might result from the construction of the cul-de-sac; and WHEREAS, the City Administrator has found the petition bearing nine signatures to have six lawful signatures &affected property owners; and WHEREAS, on April 14, 1998, the City Council ordered City Engineer Steve Jankowski to conduct a feasibility study for the installation of a cul-de-sac at the intersection of Uranimite Street and 149th Avenue or an alternate location, and for the removal and abandonment of unused roadway resulting from the construction of such cul-de-sac. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That a certain petition requesting a feasibility study to consider the improvement of the installation of a cul-de-sac to be located at the intersection of Uranimite and 149th street (sic) or an alternate location which may be selected during the feasibility study; and the removal and abandonment of unused roadway which might result from the construction of the cul-de-sac has been filed with the City Council on April 14, 1998. 2) That the petition is hereby referred to Steve Jankowski, City Engineer, and he is instructed to prepare a feasibility study to the City Council with ail convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is feasible and as to the cost of the project to each affected property owner. The City Engineer shall also comment as to whether it should best be done as proposed or in conjunction with some other improvement. 3) That the above mentioned project shall hereby be referred to as Improvement Project #98- 15. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember __ and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same:
