Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #98-04- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING PETITION AND CALLING FOR A FEASIBILITY STUDY <br />ON IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #98-15 (149TH ,AVENUE ROAD CLOSURE/CUL-DE- <br />SACING) <br /> <br /> WltEREAS, on April 14, 1998, the City received a petition for a feasibility study to <br />consider the improvement of the installation of a cul-de-sac to be located at the intersection of <br />Uranimite and 149th street (sic) or an alternate location which may be selected during the <br />feasibility study; and the removal and abandonment of unused roadway which might result from <br />the construction of the cul-de-sac; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Administrator has found the petition bearing nine signatures to <br />have six lawful signatures &affected property owners; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on April 14, 1998, the City Council ordered City Engineer Steve <br />Jankowski to conduct a feasibility study for the installation of a cul-de-sac at the intersection of <br />Uranimite Street and 149th Avenue or an alternate location, and for the removal and <br />abandonment of unused roadway resulting from the construction of such cul-de-sac. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That a certain petition requesting a feasibility study to consider the improvement of the <br />installation of a cul-de-sac to be located at the intersection of Uranimite and 149th street <br />(sic) or an alternate location which may be selected during the feasibility study; and the <br />removal and abandonment of unused roadway which might result from the construction <br />of the cul-de-sac has been filed with the City Council on April 14, 1998. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the petition is hereby referred to Steve Jankowski, City Engineer, and he is <br />instructed to prepare a feasibility study to the City Council with ail convenient speed <br />advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is <br />feasible and as to the cost of the project to each affected property owner. The City <br />Engineer shall also comment as to whether it should best be done as proposed or in <br />conjunction with some other improvement. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That the above mentioned project shall hereby be referred to as Improvement Project #98- <br />15. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />__ and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> <br />
