FIRE DEPARTMENT CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA The Ramsey Fire Department conducted a regular meeting on Wednesday, April 8, 1998, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. CALL TO ORDER Chief Kapler called the regular meeting of the Ramsey Fire Department to order at 7:00 p.m. There were twenty three people in attendance. There was one addition to the agenda, which was a CPR class. A welcome was extended to the new fire fighters present, Chad Smith, Nick Damyanovich, and Dave Ameson. The next officer's meeting will be Sunday, May 3, 1998, at 6:00 p.m. Everyone is welcomed to attend. MONTHLY REPORTS TRAINING · Ron Lemm reviewed the training for the month of March. He stated the live bum went well, we learned how fast fire can grow and how mighty the Rarnsey Fire Department is. April I Sth there will be a class on the long and short board and auto extrication. Also coming up will be a 2800 communications drill. This will include a tour of the communications facility and hands-on radio experience. Brian Abbott and Carey Schiferli will be going to Fire Fighter One. Amy Gerdes and Dave Sinner are off of probation and they, along with the four new fire fighters, will go before Council at their April 14, 1998 meeting. Amy and Dave will receive their badges from the Mayor at this time, and the new fire fighters will be introduced. MAJOR MAJ'NTEN~CE · ChiefKapler reported that the tank on Grass Two was taken out and cleaned. There are two new bladder pump cans on Grass One, which need to filled at the site. Engir~e One and Tanker Two have basic tool kits in them, you should open the door and memorize where they are at. I I i I I I I I I I I
