COMMITTEES <br /> <br />Station #2 t .mmittee will be requesting City Council, at their April 14, 1998 meeting to <br />authorize proposals fi:om four architects; SEH Architecture, Symmesd Maipi & McKee <br />Associates/Winsor Faricy, Tronssen Wright Architects:P.A., and Mjomd Architecture. <br /> <br />Members of the Engine #3 committee will be scheduling a visit to the Zimmerman Fire <br />Department to look at their fire track. They will also get specs fxom the St. Francis Fire <br />Department' on the new truck they are purchasing. <br /> <br />RADIO CHA~NELS <br /> <br />For confidential conversations, use the code "Are you clear". <br /> <br />* Channel 6 usage is going wetl. <br /> <br />ASKING FOR DNR ASSISTANCE <br /> <br /> Need to give descriptions/size of incident (i.e., acre, 10 acres, structure involved, etc.) <br /> <br />· ?',00 dispatches and gives directions to the DNR <br /> <br />· The response time should be about 10 minutes, the helicopter is located at Oak Grove. <br /> <br /> The State mutual channel is #7. <br /> <br />FIRE BOARD UPDATE <br /> <br />· The floor plan and site location for station #2 was well received by the Board, as was the idea <br /> to purchase land for a third station for future use - eight to ten years. <br /> <br />· The nicotine policy will remain the same; insurance would go up and our policy is the target <br /> for other fire departments to follow. <br /> <br />· Nominations for Fire Board were received and voting will take place at the next business <br /> meeting.
