Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #98-05- RESOLUTION RECEIVING REPORT AND CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #98-15 (TRAFFIC.CALMING ON 149TH AVENUE) WHEREAS, pursuant to discussions by the Ramsey City Council on April 14 and April 28, 1998, a feasibility study has been prepared by City Engineer Steve Jankowski with reference to traffic calming on 149th Avenue, specifically the installation of a cul-de-sac at the intersection of Uranimite Street and 149th Avenue and the alternative of a "horse shoe" or diagonal diverter barrier at the intersection of Uranimite Street and 149th Avenue; and WHEREAS, the report was received by the Ramsey City Council on May 12, 1998 which indicates the following: CUL-DE-SAC Estimated total cost of project $25,000 Estimated total assessment $25,000 Estimated assessment per unit $ 1,316 DIAGONAL DIVERTER BARRIER Estimated total cost of project Estimated total assessment Estimated assessment per unit NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council will consider the improvement of the installation of a cul- de-sac at the intersection of Uranimite Street and 149th Avenue in accordance with the report and the assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429 and the Ramsey City Code Section 4.60 at an estimated total cost of $25,000; or in the alternative, the installation of a diagonal diverter barrier at the intersection of Uranimite Street and 149th Avenue in accordance with the report and the assessment of abutting property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429 and the Ramsey City Code Section 4.60 at an estimated total cost of $
