Kuhn <br /> <br />The attached reports show the activity for the 1997-98 snowmobile season. <br /> <br />1997-98 Snowmobile complaints: <br />1997-98 Snowmobile arrests: <br />1997-98 Snowmobile accidents: <br />Yearly comparisons: <br /> <br />page 2 <br />page 3 <br />page 4 <br />page 5 <br /> <br />The above are generalstatistics with more detailofeachincidenton pages 6,7 <br />and 8. <br /> <br />This year the season was late in arriving and there was a significant lack of snow <br />throughout the season. This will be a factor in the number of complaints <br />received as well as accidents. <br /> <br />With this in mind the number of complaints received in the 1997-98 season was <br />down by 52% while citations issued for violations increased 44%. The number of <br />snowmobile accidents were down significantly, from 6 to 1. <br /> <br />Enforcement was also limited but substantially more hours of enforcement were <br />invested in the 1997-98 season than in the previous season. The biggest factor <br />here was the increase in personnel allowing more time for snowmobile patrol. <br /> <br /> <br />
