The Public Works staff has put together a plan that includes both
a timeline and cost estimates for dealing with the issue. Part of the plan is to limit the
area of service to the western half of Ramsey (west of Ramsey Boulevard until the end of
Ramsey Boulevard and then west of Highway #5 to the border of Bums Township). We
will entertain assisting residents on the eastern half of this line, however, we will do so on
an individual basis. The estimated timeline and costs associated with storm cleanup
(streets and non-public areas) is attached for your review.

Our City parks did sustain damage also, and the estimate presented does not include any
time or cost for that cleanup. Equipment rental and staff time will be needed for this and
some overtime will most likely occur.

Council Action:

No action is necessary. This information is being presented for your information.

Reviewed by:

Director of Public Works
City Administrator
Acting Finance Officer

CC: 05/26/98

jmt/storm.doc
