I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I PUBLIC HF~ARING PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA The Ramsey Planning Commission conducted a public heaxing on Tuesday, June 2, 1998, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Bo/~levard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota, regarding a request for a Conditional Use Permit for a Private Dog Kennel; Case of Phillip and Frances Teetzel. Members Present: Chairperson David Bawden Commissioner Leo Anderson Commissioner Benjamin Deemer Commissioner Sharon Jensen Commissioner loc Wivoda Members Absent: Commissioner Charles LaDue Commissioner Michael Terry Also Present: Zoning Administrator SyMa Frolik Community Development Assistant Scan Walther CALL TO ORDER Chairperson Bawden convened the public hearing at 7:53 p.m. PRESENTATION Zoning Administrator Frolik explained the applicant requested a conditional use permit to maintain a maximum of four adult dogs on their property. She indicated the conditional use permit for a private dog kennel does not necessarily mean there will be a kennel structure. In this case, the Teetzel dogs are raised as indoor dogs and will sleep indoors and there will be no outdoor kennel structure at this time. CITIZEN INPUT Zoning Administrator Frolik noted Tim and Ginny Stenoien had submitted a letter earlier in the regular meeting recommending the Teetzel request for a conditional use permit be approved. She stated two letters opposing the Teetzel request were also received from Richard and Linda Hank.ins and Terry Belsclmer. Motion by Commissioner Jensen, seconded by Commissioner Deemer, to accept into the record the letters of Tim and CAnny Stenoien, Richard and Linda Hankins, and Terry Belschner.
