The proposed design for this segment of TH 47 includes reconstructing the existing <br />two-lane undivided roadway to a three-lane roadway with a raised center median that would provide <br />protected left mm lanes. New traffic signals are proposed at the following cross streets: <br /> <br />· 142nd Avenue <br />· CSAHS(Xldmo S~eet) <br />· 149th Avenue <br />· 153rd Avenue <br /> <br />It will be necessary to acquire additional right-of-way in order to accommodate the reconstruction of <br />TH 47, A project location map and schedule are provided on the back of this sheet. <br /> <br />Objectives of the Project <br /> <br />The objective of this project is to improve traffic conditions, making TH 47 a safer roadway for all <br />users. This will be accomplished as follows: <br /> <br /> · Install traffic signals at key intersections. <br /> · Reconstruct roadway to improve horizontal and vertical alignment. <br /> · Provide a raised concrete median for protected left-turn lanes throughout project corridor <br /> <br />Questions and Comments <br /> <br />If you have any questions or comments regarding the proposed project, please complete and return <br />the attached comment sheet.
