CITY OF RAMSEY 15153 Nowthen Boulevard Ramsey, Minnesota 55303 Dear Steve: SUBJECT: PP`O?OSAL FOP, PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR THE EXTENSION OF SUNWOOD DRIVE TO TH 47 As requested, we are pleased to submit this proposal for professional engineering services to incorporate the extension of Sunwood Drive into the Trunk Highway 47 STP project. We understand that the City is proposing to use State Aid funds for this segment of roadway. The Sunwood Drive extension on its own does not meet any threshold that requires environmental documentation. Because of the funding and review that the TH 47 project will receive, we recommend the Sunwood Drive segment be covered in the Environmental Assessment (EA). This wilt eliminate any concerns the review agencies may have in determining if Sunwood Drive is a connected or phased action. In addition to inclusion in the EA, the Sunwood Drive extension will require the following work tasks: · Wetland delineation and permits · Design surveys · Easement descriptions- - Preliminary layout Soils exploration Final design, Specifications and Engineer's Estimate We propose to amend our current agreement for the TH 47 STP project to include this work. Payment for our services would be at the same rates as the existing agreement. We estimate the cost to perform these additional services to be $31,000.00, We are prepared to incorporate this work into the project at your direction and would complete the work within the original schedule.
