Local Phone Service - Comparison based on a 60 month Contract Current US West $46.22 per line $ 4.00 per line hunting U.S. West Centrex 21 $41.35 per line Hunting included McLeod USA $39.95 per line $ 4.00 per line hunting $ 817.74 per month $9,812.88 per year $702.95 per month for 60 months plus a one time transfer fee of $204.00 $8,435.40 per year for a savings of $I,176.48 for the 1st year and $1,377.48 for year 2 - 5 $711.15 per month for 60 months $8,533.80 per year for a savings of $1,279.08 per year U.S. West Centrex does have a penalty fee if you wish to get out of the 60 month contract. Phone lines pertaining to single line sites would not be at the Centrex rate, but at the current U.S. West Rate. In order to get the Centrex rate you must have a minimum of 6 lines per site. McLeod USA does not have a penalty fee to break the 60 month contract. If you find a lower rate, which they cannot meet, you are allowed to get out of their contract. Also, McLeod's rate is not set, if the over all rates go down, so do ours. McLeod USA rates also include the single line sites.
