Norman <br />Administrative Services Manager Linda Waite Smith <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />Police Chief David Gustafson <br />Fire Chief/Director of Public Works Dean Kapler <br />Acting Finance Director Diana Lurid <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Garnet called the regular City Council meeting to order at 7:18 p.m. and led the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION: TH FUTURE IS NOW - A PLANNING VIDEO <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec advised that the video presentation will not be made tonight due to the late start <br />time of the Council meeting. Staff was requested to place this item on an upcoming agenda. <br /> <br />CITIZEN IN'PUT <br /> <br />Councilmembers Haas Steffen and Beahen commented on the recent water fight competition <br />between the Council and Ramsey Fire Department and jokingly suggested "sensitivity training" be <br />provided to the members of the Fke Department. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec clarified that there was an event at the annual picnic involving a competition with <br />the Fire Department which was very exciting. He reported that he was invite to a practice house <br />burning and had the opportunity to wear the firefighting gear and enter the burning building. He <br />stated his respect for the members of the Fire Department for the job they do as well as the <br />training they have.
