ADDENDUM TO PC CASE # 2 July 28, 1998 <br /> <br />By: <br /> <br /> RECOMMEND APPOINTMENT OF <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR <br />Linda Waite Smith, Administrative Services Manager <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />For the past ten weeks, applicants have participated in a competitive process to fill the <br />newly created Community Development Director position. The final step in the process <br />was an interview with the City Council on July 21, 1998. <br /> <br />On the basis of her performance on all aspects of the selection process, staff is <br />recommending that Cynthia Sherman be appointed Community Development Director of <br />Ramsey, effective on or before September 7, 1998. <br /> <br />After discussions with <br />compensation package: <br /> Annual Salary: <br /> Vacation: <br /> <br />Sick Leave: <br />Insurance: <br /> <br />Ms. Sherman, staff is also recommending the following <br /> <br />$58,000 <br />3 weeks (15 days) annually (standard for department heads <br />because they are not eligible for compensatory time or <br />overtime) <br />1 week (5 days) vacation credit available for immediate use <br />12 days per year (same as all employees) <br />Same as all employees <br /> <br />Committee Action: <br /> <br />Recommend that City Council approve the appointment of Cynthia Sherman as <br />Community Development Director, effective on or before September 7, 1998, at an <br />annual salary of $58,000. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br />City Administrator <br />Administrative Services Manager <br /> <br />PC: 7/28/98 <br /> <br /> <br />
