Councilmember adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved for its RESOLUTION #98-08- RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A BUDGET AMENDMENT TO REALLOCATE $1,875 FROM THE COUNCIL CONTINGEN'CY FUND FOR PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT CONSORTIUM WHEREAS, measuring effectiveness has become generally accepted as a good management practice; and WHEREAS, State Statute 477A.05. requires city and county governments in Minnesota to develop a system of performance measurement for the services they provide as a precondition of Local Performance Aid; and WHEREAS, the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) developed a Comparative Performance Measurement Consortium with the intent of giving participants a chance to help deVelop and analyze performance measurements that would assure comparability among local governments and thus encourage improvement; and WHEREAS, the League of Minnesota has received a grant in order to participate in the ICMA Performance Measurement Consortium Project; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has been initially notified that they could be a participant in the League of Minnesota Cities Performance Measurement Consortium Project. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY~ ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes a budget amendment to reallocate $1,875 from the 1998 expenditure reserve.
