Currently, the street terminates
as a dead-end street with a dirt cul-de-sac bulb. The petition specifically requested that
the street be paved and remain with cul-de-sac configuration. A feasibility study was
prepared and presented to the Council on June 9, 1998. This feasibility study details the
work to be performed, including restoration work, the schedule for the project, if
approved, and the project costs and financing.

A copy of the feasibility study is attached to this case and has been sent to each benefited
property.

Council Action:

Following the public hearing, the Council should direct any revisions to the feasibility
study it deems necessary as a result of the comments made at the public hearing. The
feasibility study, as accepted or amended, will serve as the basis for determining the work
to be performed and the method in which costs will be financed. Assuming no petitions
are received from a majority of benefited properties opposing the improvement, the
Council will be asked to order the project sixty days after this heating which is the
Council meeting of October 13, 1998.

Reviewed by:

City Engineer
Director of Public Works
City Administrator

CC: 08/11/98

jmt/Bison, doc
